One Time I Poked a Dead Chicken With a Stick

Greetings to all yous mountain folk! (Do you live on the inside with the aliens?) Anyways, I've been hearing mucho about your boohbas, and since I am bold and daring, I ventured to their website. They immediately presented me with a gift. It was a honky horn. Then, to my surprise, they gave me yet another gift! 'Twas a wheel barrow!!!! It was grand. I like chunky penutbutter better than creamy, and I like platypuses because squirrels lick nuts. Everyone must listen to Guster because they are the GREATEST band to eva rock deez halls. peace

Boohbahs and how they pose as a threat

Ok, while searching for a picture of Boohbah's to edit or post here, i found the boohbah website (http://www.boohbah.com/ if you would like to visit it) and after reading the information for parents, i have determined that this is a cult-based show, meant entirely for the purpose of brainwashing our youth so in the next few generations they (meaning this mysterious cult group) can have ultimate dictatorship, over not just the US but the world! ok, here are the reasons for my theory:
If you look on the information page, the show tells you that it is designed around interaction with children. the idea is that through the cues and sounds, the child will talk back to the tv and 'control' the show. this is giving children a taste for power but a sense of obediance, and ultimately the boohbah creators will choose the most faithful and best leader among the children to be their puppet dictator. There is only one 'deviant' who does not always obey the children's orders, and that is Fido the dog. It is no coincidence that the deviant character is a dog, because it teaches them to look at people who don't obey as not-human, and therefore it's justifiable to punish them. slowly, the show will encourage children to use cues that lead to the punishment of the dog, which slowly gets worse throughout the airing of the show until the dog eventually is killed. Now, boohbahs, scary though they are, are not the...creatures...to blame here. they're just tools. it says on the site that they are supposed to represent five energy balls, and the way the show is set up, visually and auditorily, 'draws upon early concepts in science, maths and art and combines these with ‘televisual magic’. it's hypnosis!

anyways, i've gotta go eat, so there's tons more to my theory, and if i gather new and important facts, i'll post them up. in the meantime, i want all of you to start launching an offensive...no, a defensive manouver against this threat to our way of life. i just finished reading "1984", can you tell?

Boohbahs....

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.lanceandeskimo.com/guest/images/boo_dance.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.lanceandeskimo.com/guest/boohbah.shtml&h=125&w=250&sz=4&tbnid=ukAt8II6djMJ:&tbnh=53&tbnw=106&start=21&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dboohbahs%26start%3D20%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DN

This is funny...i was looking up images of boohbahs and came across this little splurb on boohbahs. i agree with him completely. actually, i came across several comments like this...apparently everyone is frightened by them, and sure they are taking over the world. one person called them 'our new amorphous overlords'.
AAAAAWWWWESSSOME!!!!! i see it too...clear as day. now we just need the knowledge. damn, i knew i should have been a graphic designer! hey! why don't we just hire Will? or, we could just find a video camera and instead of graphics we could use costumes and cardboard cutouts and sheets for the background. good enough, don't you think? why didn't we ever invest in a video camera, Lisa? we woulda had so much fun with that...more even than a tape recorder. ok, sketching the story board for our movie is now my top priority...that is, underneath my two or soon three papers i should be working on/turning in a while ago, going to class, all the reading i should do for ethnic studies and moral contraversies, cleaning my room, and...oh yea, and bleaching my hair blonde (which i'm going to do today...yay!).

This is another cool picture of evening at Humboldt, this time by the bookstore. there's Shelby! Posted by Hello

This is a picture of Founder's Hall in the evening, right after an awesome sunset. i was eating when i looked outside and saw the sky, and so i raced from the J to my dorm, and then up all these steps, only to just miss the awesome climax. oh well. ah, and i added the misty effect in photoshop, but that happens really late at night (or early in the morning actually) so i thought it was appropriate. anyways, i also wanted to tell you guys how to post pictures! to do that you must join Hello, a joint program or something. click on the icon that's at the end of this message, and follow the directions. this icon---> Posted by Hello

We have new members!

Let us welcome Lisa, Laura and Jay! *munchkins jump out and begin to sing... "We represent the goats and monkeys blog, and we'd like to welcome you to goats and monkeys land"* Ah yes, munchkins are cool. that's why i hired them.

A fun evening at the beach...

I went to the beach the other day, with my friends Kyle, Cindle and Laura. We just barely caught the sunset, and here you can see us having a gay ol' time (everyone is in the order i mentioned above, left to right). We were just taking some goofy pictures... Posted by Hello

...when Cindle, Kyle and Laura decide to show off their spirit fingers to the camera. It was all innocent fun, until... Posted by Hello

Suddenly, someone takes spirit fingers too far. Who is the culprit?... Posted by Hello

*Gasp* Why, it's Kyle! Posted by Hello

Laura and Cindle are outraged, and their anger cumulates into the disposal of Kyle. Beach accidents happen all the time... Posted by Hello

What does the girl behind the camera think? "I like licking purple toadstools" is all she seems to have to say. Posted by Hello

Here are me and my friends dressing up for 80s night at a local coffee joint. unfortunately, we had the date wrong and it turned out the real 80s night wasn't for a week. but we had fun anyways. Shelby is on the left! then there's Elisa, me, Maia, and Ruby. this is my posse, minus a few people. Posted by Hello

Here are the stairs that i tripped on. as you can see, i am very lucky to be alive today...four flights of cement stairs are not good for one's health. hmm...that sounds worse than it was. i cought myself before i fell, and survived with only a bruised knee and shin. Posted by Hello

Everyone, meet Shelby

My friend Shelby has joined the blog! She is one of my good friends here at humboldt, and her and i are in the same FIG so we have all our classes together. so...Zack, Chris, meet Shelby. Shelby, meet Zack and Chris (and hopefully more as they come).

This is lovely Humboldt in the fall. the two by the tree are Laura and Cindle, and they are cool (as you can tell...only cool people use that pose) Posted by Hello

Hello Everyone!

OK, mes amies, this is our blog! I'm not sure if anyone other than Lisa knows the significance of the phrase "goats and monkeys" but it was a curse someone uttered in one of the funniest on stage plays I've seen. ahh...memories...

Anyways, WELCOME! i hope this becomes a means of communication and interaction for us all, now that we're more spread apart. please feel free to post pictures on here...i would love that actually, and just drop notes of how you are now and then.

Lots of love, Aleisha
